Seattle-based startup Potato has secured $4.5 million in seed funding to develop autonomous AI scientists that automate life sciences research. The funding round was led by Draper Associates, with participation from BoostVC and Ensemble VC. Potato aims to create AI agents capable of not only assisting researchers but also independently conducting experiments and reading scientific literature, with the goal of accelerating the pace of scientific discovery.
