In a separate development, Chinese smartphone maker Honor has announced it received an undisclosed amount of investment from China Mobile's parent company. This investment is seen as a significant boost for Honor, which was spun out of Huawei Technologies four years ago, as it prepares for an initial public offering (IPO).
