TechChicago Week commenced on July 22, 2024, featuring over 36 tech events aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation within the Chicago tech ecosystem. The week kicked off with a gathering of more than 15 founders hosted by Starting Line Venture Capital, where speakers included notable figures such as Mr.312, Roy Bahat, Hank Couture, and Avital Simon. The event is also supported by a significant $140 million investment from DARPA aimed at enhancing the local tech landscape. Various activities throughout the week include networking events, such as a happy hour hosted by Drive Capital and an Angel Investors' meetup scheduled for July 25 at 2 PM CT. Mayor Brandon Johnson participated in the TechChicago Week press conference, emphasizing the importance of building Chicago as a tech hub. The week is expected to attract numerous venture capitalists and industry leaders, further strengthening the Midwest tech ecosystem.
