The funding round was led by 1kxnetwork and Makers Fund, with participation from Rockaway and other investors. Craft World is a resource management game where players rebuild civilization. Meanwhile, the Web3 gaming sector is experiencing contrasting developments. Ember Sword, a high-profile Ethereum-based crypto game that raised over $7 million and generated more than $11 million in land NFT sales, has announced its shutdown after seven years of development across three blockchains and multiple game engines. This follows a trend of other Web3 games shutting down despite substantial funding, including Xterio ($80 million), Blast Royale ($5 million), TreasureDAO ($3 million), and Nyan Heroes ($13 million). On the other hand, the onchain gaming economy is gaining momentum, with projects like AdventureLayer building on Arbitrum's customizable Orbit stack, which offers sub-30ms block times and compatibility with EVM and WASM.
