Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has recently led several key military ceremonies and national celebrations. On July 2 and 4, Maduro presided over the promotion of military personnel within the Presidential Honor Guard, the Directorate General of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM), and the Armed Forces of Venezuela (FANB), emphasizing their role in maintaining peace and combating violence. He praised the FANB as the powerful core of the united liberating army and acknowledged its creation by former leader Hugo Chávez. On July 5, Maduro led the military parade at Paseo Los Próceres to mark the 214th anniversary of Venezuela's Declaration of Independence and the Day of the FANB and Venezuelan soldiers. During these events, he paid tribute to national heroes including Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chávez, calling for unity, sovereignty, and the adoption of modern weapon systems by the military. Maduro also reaffirmed the leadership of the high military command following the promotion ceremonies held at the Military Academy in Caracas.
