Runway Debuts Game Worlds Beta, Adds AI Voice-Swapping Tool

Runway expanded its suite of generative-AI media tools on Thursday with the debut of Game Worlds Beta, a platform that lets users create and explore fully rendered characters, narratives and environments in real time. The release moves the New York-based startup beyond video generation into interactive, non-linear storytelling and text-based games such as “The Last Score” and “Athena Springs.” Alongside the beta, Runway introduced a “Voices” feature for its Act-Two product, allowing creators to swap and tailor vocal performances to match AI-generated characters. The company said the additions are part of a strategy to make immersive content creation accessible without specialized coding or animation skills.
