Half of registered U.S. voters now believe Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, according to a Quinnipiac University poll of 1,220 voters released on 28 Aug 2025. The finding is the highest level recorded by the university since it began asking the question in 2023 and falls within a margin of error of ±3.4 percentage points. Perceptions diverge sharply along party lines: 77 percent of Democrats, 51 percent of independents and 20 percent of Republicans say a genocide is under way. The same survey finds voter sympathies almost evenly split for the first time, with 37 percent siding more with Palestinians and 36 percent with Israelis. The poll also shows waning support for Washington’s military backing of Israel. Sixty percent of respondents—and 75 percent of Democrats—oppose sending additional U.S. weapons, while 32 percent favor more aid. The results underscore growing domestic pressure on policymakers as the Gaza war approaches its second anniversary.

I stand with the United States FIRST always. I stand with Israel against terrorists always. I stand with law enforcement over criminals always. I stand with the workers and people over the government and the woke corporations.
