The crypto crime-fighting organization T3FCU has successfully frozen nearly $9 million in USDT linked to the Bybit hack, which is part of a broader effort to combat cryptocurrency-related crime. This recent action brings T3FCU's total amount of blocked illicit funds to over $150 million in the past six months. The Bybit hack is noted as one of the largest attacks in crypto history, contributing to a record loss of $1.64 billion in Q1 2025 due to hacks. The U.S. Justice Department has also been active in disrupting financial crimes, recently seizing $201,400 in cryptocurrency from wallets associated with Hamas, which allegedly laundered over $1.5 million in virtual currency since October 2024.
