The newly formed Seed Edge team aims to explore advanced topics in reasoning and perception, as well as to develop next-generation hardware-software integrated models and new AI learning paradigms. This initiative is part of a broader effort by ByteDance and its partner DeepSeek to compete with established players like OpenAI in the AI market. Reports suggest that they may challenge OpenAI and other major language models in terms of performance metrics and pricing.
