Several new applications and tools leveraging AI-powered transcription and summarization have been developed recently. A Python transcription app using Whisper and Gemini Flash 1.5 has been created to transcribe and format audio notes. Gradio 5 and Whisper Turbo now enable real-time audio note transcription. Another tool allows users to upload audio files to Glasp for automatic transcription and summarization, with features to highlight key parts and leave comments. Additionally, the AI-Powered Meeting Summarizer uses Gradio and whisper.cpp for audio-to-text conversion and Ollama for text summarization. A Gradio app named Youtube-Whisper transcribes YouTube videos by extracting audio and using OpenAI’s Whisper model.
