Between August 2 and August 5, 2025, multiple large cryptocurrency transactions involving Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and stablecoins were recorded, highlighting notable activity among whale investors and institutions. Over this period, approximately 893 BTC worth $100.5 million was transferred between unknown wallets, and Coinbase Institutional moved 1,000 BTC valued at $113.6 million to an unknown wallet. Additionally, 39,949 ETH valued at nearly $140 million was transferred from an unknown wallet to Coinbase Institutional. Significant ETH accumulations were observed, with whale wallets acquiring tens of thousands of ETH via OTC channels such as FalconX and Galaxy Digital, totaling over 63,800 ETH worth approximately $232 million. One wallet purchased 39,294 ETH for $143.3 million over two days, reportedly gaining over $1 million in profit. Stablecoin transfers included two transactions of 174 million USDC each (approximately $174 million) to Coinbase. In Bitcoin movements, 517 BTC valued at $59.2 million was transferred by the government of Bhutan to a new wallet, with onchain data suggesting a possible deposit to Binance. Other notable transfers included BTC movements between exchanges such as Bitfinex, Kraken, Coinbase, Binance, and Robinhood, with amounts ranging from hundreds to over a thousand BTC per transaction. Ethereum transfers also involved exchanges like Kraken, BitGet, and Binance. These transactions indicate heightened accumulation and redistribution activity among large holders and institutional players in the crypto market during this timeframe.
