The Ethereum Foundation has recently made multiple internal transfers of 1,000 ETH, valued between $2.47 million and $2.8 million, to related wallet addresses. Meanwhile, internal conflicts have emerged within the Foundation involving key personnel. Péter Szilágyi, a former Ethereum Foundation researcher and developer of the Geth client, revealed that his so-called sabbatical was actually a dismissal after uncovering a "secret second Geth team" at Nethermind. Szilágyi also stated that the Foundation had offered $5 million to the Geth team to become independent, an offer that was declined. Additionally, the Foundation reportedly offered Parity $5 million to support their client. These internal power struggles have raised concerns about the stability of Ethereum’s critical infrastructure.
