VanEck has officially filed an S-1 form for its Spot Ethereum ETF, joined by other major financial institutions including Fidelity, Franklin, 21Shares, Grayscale, and BlackRock. Matrixport believes the SEC will approve these spot Ethereum ETFs, possibly as soon as this week or next. The filing date for these S-1 forms was July 8, 2024. Additionally, VanEck and 21Shares have also filed for Solana ETFs with the CBOE, which will require SEC approval by March 2025. The approval of these ETFs could significantly impact the market, with some analysts predicting a substantial increase in the price of Ethereum and Solana. The amended S-1 filings included minor changes to custody arrangements.
