🇨🇦 Tamm Thibeault looked fantastic in just her third Pro fight getting a 5th round TKO and and handing Mary Casamassa her first loss as a Pro. Thibeault really jelling in transitioning from an Amateur to a Professional #TaylorSerrano
Canadian middleweight prospect Tammara Thibeault improved her professional record to 3-0 with a fifth-round technical knockout of previously unbeaten Mary Casamassa on the undercard of the Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano III card at Madison Square Garden on 11 July. Thibeault, a two-time Olympian, dropped the Pittsburgh-based Casamassa in the opening round and maintained control throughout the eight-round bout, which was contested over three-minute frames rather than the two-minute rounds common in women’s boxing. Referee Charlie Fitch halted the contest at 2:18 of Round 5 after a series of heavy combinations, handing Casamassa her first professional loss and moving her record to 6-1. The victory further cements the 28-year-old Montreal fighter’s transition from amateur success to the paid ranks and adds momentum to her campaign for bigger opportunities in a deepening women’s middleweight division.
