Carla Zambelli, a federal deputy on leave from the Liberal Party representing São Paulo, has missed the deadline to vacate her functional apartment provided by the Chamber of Deputies. The legal deadline for her to return the property, which she has occupied since 2021, expired on July 4, 2025. Zambelli is currently in Italy and is considered a fugitive following a 10-year prison sentence for hacking the National Justice Council (CNJ) system. Despite her absence, family members continue to reside in the apartment. If she fails to vacate the property by July 15, 2025, she faces a fine of up to R$7,371.83. Separately, another individual convicted alongside Zambelli, Delgatti, has requested to serve his sentence under a semi-open regime.
