Eduardo Bolsonaro argued that Tarcísio's negotiation efforts undermine the broader plan to pressure the U.S. for tariff relief or amnesty. In response, Tarcísio emphasized his focus on protecting the interests of São Paulo. The conflict drew intervention from former President Jair Bolsonaro, who aligned with Tarcísio and sought to de-escalate the tensions, stating that the situation was now pacified. Eduardo Bolsonaro later confirmed that he and Tarcísio had reconciled after the dispute over the tariff issue.
