TV Globo released first images of Taís Araujo’s character Raquel Acioli with a new hairstyle and wardrobe that will debut in the 11 July episode of the prime-time telenovela “Vale Tudo”. The makeover reflects a time jump in the plot and Raquel’s rise from financial hardship to executive status after she wins a cooking reality show and pockets a R$1 million prize. In the upcoming chapters, Raquel invests the award money to become a partner of Celina (Malu Galli) in the restaurant Paladar, which is being relaunched under her management. The production says the visual shift—lighter, more voluminous hair, refined makeup and tailored outfits—signals the character’s newfound confidence while keeping references to her original, informal style. The remake of the 1988 classic is written by Manuela Dias and directed by Paulo Silvestrini as part of TV Globo’s 60-year celebrations.
