Former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe has filed a claim in the High Court accusing the Premier League club of clinical negligence. The 27-year-old alleges that medical advice he received during his time at Old Trafford hampered his career, according to filings submitted late last week. Tuanzebe joined United’s academy at age eight and made 37 first-team appearances before leaving in 2023. His spell at the club was repeatedly interrupted by hamstring and hip problems; French outlet Foot Mercato reported he missed roughly 86 matches through injury while on United’s books. Now under contract with Burnley after a season with Ipswich Town, the Democratic Republic of Congo international is seeking unspecified damages. Manchester United declined to comment on the proceedings.
