Sony Starts Filming ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ for July 2026 Release
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have begun principal photography on “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” the fourth solo outing for Tom Holland’s webslinger, with filming currently taking place in London and Glasgow. Behind-the-scenes images released by the studio show Holland on set with director Destin Daniel Cretton, who is making his franchise debut. Sony reaffirmed the film’s previously announced theatrical release date of 31 July 2026. The new material offers the first official glimpse of Holland back in costume alongside Zendaya, who was seen visiting the London shoot. Location photos appear to place Peter Parker at Aunt May’s grave and working shifts at Delmar’s Deli-Grocery, hinting at a storyline that picks up after 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” “Putting the suit on, it feels different this time … I’m just going to do my best,” Holland said on his first day of filming.
