IREN Limited said it has acquired 4,200 Nvidia Blackwell B200 graphics-processing units for about $193 million, doubling the company’s high-performance computing fleet to roughly 8,500 GPUs. The new hardware will be installed at IREN’s 50-megawatt Prince George campus, which the company says can ultimately support as many as 20,000 Blackwell chips. Separately, the New York-listed data-center operator arranged $102 million in non-dilutive, 36-month lease financing to cover a prior purchase of Nvidia Blackwell B200 and B300 GPUs. Co-Chief Executive Officer Daniel Roberts said the larger GPU pool positions IREN to meet growing demand for artificial-intelligence cloud services while allowing the company to expand without tapping equity markets.
