Canada said it intends to tighten sanctions on Moscow by cutting the price cap on seaborne Russian crude oil to US$47.60 a barrel from the current US$60 level. Ottawa described the move as part of efforts to curtail the Kremlin’s revenue from energy exports that help finance its war in Ukraine.
