Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Wednesday that Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree continues to have his full confidence after court filings revealed the minister had written two letters supporting the Canadian immigration application of a man alleged to belong to a terrorist organisation. Carney told reporters the minister had been "transparent about the details of that situation" and would remain in his post. The Prime Minister did not clarify whether he had been aware of the letters before they were disclosed in recently unsealed Federal Court documents.
