Her films have now generated an estimated $14.8 billion worldwide before inflation adjustment, edging past Jackson’s $14.6 billion and Robert Downey Jr.’s $14.3 billion. The milestone comes on the back of Universal and Amblin’s “Jurassic World Rebirth,” which opened to about $318 million globally in its first six days. The performance lifted Johansson from third place to first on the all-time list, less than four years after her departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Johansson achieved the record with only 36 leading or lead-ensemble films—roughly half the output of Jackson and a quarter fewer than Downey—underscoring her unusually high box-office average. More than $8.7 billion of her career total derives from Marvel titles, but the strong start for the latest Jurassic installment underscores her continuing commercial draw outside the superhero franchise.
