Extreme rainfall caused severe flooding and power outages across several regions in China, particularly affecting the Laiwu district in Jinan, Shandong Province. From midnight to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, the area experienced a maximum rainfall of 364 millimeters, equivalent to half a year's worth of rain falling within five hours. This intense precipitation led to flash floods near Shiwuzi and Zhujiayu villages in Dawangzhuang Township, destroying 19 houses and submerging farmlands. Local authorities reported that two people have died and 10 remain missing as a result of the flooding.
