The United States has imposed a comprehensive set of sanctions targeting over 300 Russian and international entities, including companies in China and Turkey, for their role in supporting Russia's military efforts in Ukraine. These sanctions, announced on May 1, are part of a broader strategy to curb Russia's war capabilities by penalizing firms that assist in the evasion of previous sanctions and contribute to Russia's defense sector. The measures also specifically target companies in China and Hong Kong, with over 20 firms identified for their support of Russia's military operations. Additionally, the sanctions list includes 16 sea vessels and the Russian airline Pobeda.
