Foxconn Technology Group reported a 27% year-over-year increase in net profit for the second quarter of 2025, reaching NT$44.36 billion (approximately US$1.48 billion), surpassing market expectations of NT$36.14 billion. The company's revenue for Q2 stood at NT$1.79 trillion, in line with estimates, while operating profit rose to NT$56.6 billion. Earnings per share for the first half of 2025 were NT$6.23 on NT$3.44 trillion in revenue. A key driver of this growth was Foxconn's AI server business, which grew more than 60% year-over-year in Q2 and for the first time generated higher revenue than the company's Apple-related product sales. The AI server segment is expected to expand further in Q3, with revenue projected to increase over 170% year-over-year and rack shipments anticipated to triple quarter-over-quarter. Foxconn also forecasts significant year-over-year revenue growth in its cloud and networking products for Q3, while expecting a slight decline in smart consumer electronics revenue. The company plans to increase capital expenditures by more than 20% in 2025 to support expansion, including boosting AI server production in the U.S. in partnership with Nvidia. Foxconn anticipates its AI server business will exceed NT$1 trillion (US$33 billion) in revenue for the full year 2025, underscoring a strategic shift toward data center and AI hardware markets amid global trade uncertainties.
