A busy earnings day on 28 April produced a wave of mixed first-quarter results across the technology, healthcare, industrial and real-estate sectors, with several companies raising full-year guidance despite a still-uncertain economic backdrop. Norway-based browser developer Opera reported a 40% jump in revenue to $142.7 million and adjusted diluted earnings of $0.27 per share, outpacing consensus forecasts. The company cited the launch of its AI-powered Browser Operator and raised full-year targets for both revenue and adjusted EBITDA, sending the stock about 11% higher in pre-market trading. In healthcare, life-sciences tools maker Revvity generated $665 million in revenue, up 2% year on year, and posted adjusted earnings of $1.01 per share while reiterating its 2025 outlook. Aesthetic-device supplier InMode saw revenue slip 3% to $77.9 million; its $0.31 in adjusted EPS fell short of expectations, and the shares declined roughly 6% before the open. After the closing bell, Cadence Design Systems said first-quarter revenue rose 23% to $1.24 billion and lifted its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to as much as $6.83. Network-equipment maker F5 beat estimates with $731 million in revenue and $3.42 in adjusted EPS, raised its full-year revenue-growth target to up to 7.5%, but issued third-quarter earnings guidance below Wall Street projections. Among industrial and real-estate names, steelmaker Nucor topped views with $7.83 billion in revenue and $0.77 in adjusted EPS, and it expects stronger results next quarter. Waste Management’s revenue rose 17% to $6.02 billion while adjusted EPS reached $1.67 as the company said it is on pace to meet its 2025 plan. Healthcare-focused REIT Welltower delivered adjusted funds from operations of $1.20 per share and boosted its same-store NOI growth outlook to as much as 13.3%.
