Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. said it will release "Grand Theft Auto VI" on 26 May 2026, ending years of speculation about the launch timetable for the next instalment of one of the videogame industry's biggest franchises. The company disclosed the date in its second-quarter financial report, calling the title the most ambitious project in its history. Alongside the announcement, the publisher reported stronger-than-expected first-quarter results, posting GAAP earnings of $0.61 a share on revenue of $1.50 billion, surpassing analysts’ forecasts of $0.27 and $1.29 billion, respectively. Management also lifted its forecast for fiscal-year 2026 net bookings to between $6.05 billion and $6.15 billion, citing sustained demand for its core franchises and an expanding release pipeline.
