A 17-year-old Georgia resident, Sarah Grace Patrick, surrendered to authorities on 8 July and was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault in the February shootings of her mother and stepfather. Investigators say the bodies of Kristin Brock, 41, and James Brock, 45, were found in their bed on 20 February in the family’s home in Tyus, Carroll County. The couple’s younger daughter, then six, discovered the victims, and Patrick placed the 911 call that triggered the investigation. Patrick, who will be tried as an adult, remains in the Carroll County jail. The sheriff’s office has not disclosed a motive and has not ruled out additional arrests, urging anyone with information to come forward. In the months between the killings and her arrest, Patrick delivered a eulogy at her mother’s funeral, posted several TikTok videos expressing grief and seeking prayers, and contacted a true-crime content creator about covering the case. Detectives have confirmed the social-media accounts belong to her and say the online activity forms part of the ongoing probe.
