CyberConnect has rebranded to Cyber and launched its mainnet, positioning itself as the Layer-2 (L2) solution for social applications. The launch marks a significant milestone for the project, which aims to simplify the development of decentralized social apps. Cyber is built with Optimism's OP Stack and is part of the Superchain, a network designed to enhance blockchain interoperability. The rebranding consolidates all of Cyber's solutions for building social apps into a single L2 platform. The launch has garnered support from various partners, including CharacterXAI, Turnkey, and QuickNode, who are eager to leverage Cyber's capabilities for the next generation of social applications. Co-founder Ryan Li highlighted the importance of this change and announced the upcoming Social Summer campaign to encourage developers to build on the platform.
