Sam Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of FTX, has been reported by the New York Times and CoinTelegraph to be giving financial advice from jail, specifically recommending prison guards to invest in Solana. Bankman-Fried has been incarcerated at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center since last summer. His defense counsel has recommended a sentencing range of 63-78 months, considering various factors including his early life, education, and professional background. Federal prosecutors are expected to file a sentencing recommendation by March 15. Additionally, Bankman-Fried's lawyers have proposed to a federal judge that he serve no more than 6 1/2 years in prison for orchestrating fraud that led to FTX's downfall. There are also claims that his sentence may be reduced due to good behavior, as he's been offering trading and investment advice to inmates and guards.
