The USC Scripter Awards, an event recognizing outstanding screen adaptations, recently announced its winners. 'American Fiction', a film that has also been nominated for Best Picture, won alongside 'Slow Horses', a television series. Cord Jefferson, associated with 'American Fiction', continues to gain momentum towards the Adapted Screenplay Oscar with this win. The victory of 'Slow Horses' was noted as a surprise, especially considering it was up against notable contenders such as 'The Last of Us' and 'The Crown'.
