The new U.S. top-50 roster highlights the growing geographic breadth of acclaimed American pizza. Las Vegas earned two spots—Pizza Rock at No. 33 and Double Zero Pie & Pub at No. 43—while the Philadelphia region placed Pizzeria Beddia at No. 11 and Bricco’s Coal Pizza in nearby Haddon Township, New Jersey at No. 28. Regional recognition extended to New England, where Somerville chef Juan Gabriel Perez of Posto ranked No. 54 on 50 Top Pizza’s separate global list of 100 standout pizza chefs. According to the judges, Perez’s use of seasonal ingredients and innovative dough techniques distinguishes the Boston-area restaurant in an increasingly competitive national scene.
