Italian restaurant guide 50 Top Pizza released its 2025 United States ranking on 3 July, again naming Una Pizza Napoletana in New York City the country’s best pizzeria. Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco placed second and also secured the No. 6 slot on the guide’s global list, underscoring chef-owner Tony Gemignani’s standing among the world’s leading pizzaioli. The new U.S. top-50 roster highlights the growing geographic breadth of acclaimed American pizza. Las Vegas earned two spots—Pizza Rock at No. 33 and Double Zero Pie & Pub at No. 43—while the Philadelphia region placed Pizzeria Beddia at No. 11 and Bricco’s Coal Pizza in nearby Haddon Township, New Jersey at No. 28. Regional recognition extended to New England, where Somerville chef Juan Gabriel Perez of Posto ranked No. 54 on 50 Top Pizza’s separate global list of 100 standout pizza chefs. According to the judges, Perez’s use of seasonal ingredients and innovative dough techniques distinguishes the Boston-area restaurant in an increasingly competitive national scene.
