Quentin Mauro, a chef from Savoie, won the 16th season of the French culinary competition "Top Chef" on M6, securing 52.65% of the jury's votes in a closely contested final against Charlie Anne from Caen. Mauro's winning menu was themed around "Savoie," reflecting his regional roots. Unlike previous winners, Mauro did not receive a Michelin star but expressed that winning without it was a greater achievement. Following his victory, he opened a pop-up restaurant called "Mauro table d’hôtes" on a barge at Port Van Gogh in Asnières, where he is offering a tasting menu throughout the summer. Mauro noted that the challenges involving Michelin Guide tastings were among the most difficult during the competition. Charlie Anne, despite finishing as the runner-up, expressed happiness with the outcome. The final and Mauro's subsequent pop-up restaurant have drawn considerable attention in the French culinary scene.
