Decentralized lending protocol Aave has expanded beyond the Ethereum Virtual Machine ecosystem by launching its platform on the Aptos blockchain, marking its first deployment written in the Move programming language. The rollout is part of Aave’s broader multichain strategy and follows a year-long development effort by Aave Labs and the Aave DAO, according to founder Stani Kulechov. The integration makes Aptos the first non-EVM network supported by Aave and immediately introduces assets such as the sUSDe stablecoin to Aptos users. Developers from both projects said the launch underwent extensive testing before going live, and they highlighted faster transaction speeds and lower latency as expected benefits for borrowers and lenders.
. @aave, the biggest borrow-lend platform is NOW live on @Aptos! First non-EVM, first Move deployment. Tested extensively and carefully rolled out. Feel the Aptos difference in speed and ease of use. https://t.co/aWnad9DKEl

Aave expanded beyond EVM by launching on @aptos. This has been an incredible milestone for Aave Labs over the past year, writing Aave in Move, and for the Aave DAO in igniting Aave's ever-expanding market share. A big thanks to the Aptos team for all their support. https://t.co/t9oLxYAeU0
