Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, has been actively minting substantial amounts of USDC on the Solana blockchain throughout 2025. Since late June, Circle has repeatedly minted approximately $250 million in USDC on Solana at multiple intervals, with the total amount minted on the network reaching $17.5 billion by early July. The minting activity accelerated significantly in mid-July, with Circle issuing $500 million in USDC within a single day and $1 billion over one week. By late July, the total USDC minted on Solana in 2025 had increased to $20.5 billion. On July 30, Circle minted an additional $750 million USDC on Solana within less than an hour, underscoring the growing demand for stablecoin liquidity on the network. This surge in USDC issuance reflects Solana's expanding role in decentralized finance (DeFi) and high-volume stablecoin transactions, highlighting Circle's aggressive expansion strategy and the increasing adoption of USDC within the Solana ecosystem.
