Charles Schwab experienced a significant outage on the morning of June 11, affecting its Thinkorswim (TOS) platform and other services. Many clients reported being unable to log in or execute trades, leading to frustration and financial losses. Users took to social media to express their dissatisfaction, with some considering switching to other brokers. The outage also impacted TD Ameritrade and Fidelity, with thousands of users unable to access their accounts. Schwab acknowledged the issue and stated that it had been resolved by the afternoon, though some users continued to experience problems later in the day. Some customers resorted to phoning in their trades due to the low quality of service.
if your having TOS problems @SchwabTrading let me do their support for them. Restart, click on the gear and select Clear Cache and Restart. Schwab could have saved us all a lot of grief by just saying that
TOS legit down all day and still is! Sell back to @tdameritrade asap!! @CharlesSchwab is trash ๐ https://t.co/aLGGUSnfRg
