Woodside Energy Group Ltd. is seeking to sell a 20%–30% interest in the holding company that owns its proposed US liquefied natural-gas development in Louisiana, according to a Wall Street Journal report confirmed by people familiar with the process. The divestment would leave Woodside with as much as 80% of the vehicle for the roughly $17.5 billion project while bringing in one or more partners to help fund construction and share risk. Discussions with potential investors are under way, the report said.
