European stock markets opened slightly higher, with the STOXX 600 index rising by 0.4%, amid ongoing concerns about trade tensions. Currency markets experienced a choppy session with the British pound strengthening and the Swiss franc weakening. Crude oil prices remained flat despite ongoing US-Iran talks, while gold prices pulled back from recent highs.
