A new ransomware strain known as NailaoLocker has been deployed against European healthcare organizations by a previously unknown hacking group called Green Nailao. The attackers exploited a vulnerability in Check Point's software to steal credentials and escalate their access via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). The campaign, which occurred in the latter half of 2024, is believed to be linked to Chinese state-backed hackers.
