European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told U.S. President Joe Biden that the European Union and the United States have concluded what she described as "the largest trade deal ever agreed" and will now focus on forging a “just and lasting peace” for Ukraine. Speaking after a "fantastic" NATO summit, von der Leyen said the trans-Atlantic partners—together the world’s two biggest economies—share a common interest in halting the war, adding that their next objective is to “stop the killing” in Ukraine.
