Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and CEO of Block, has invested $10 million in a nonprofit collective called "and Other Stuff," which focuses on developing open-source tools and experimental projects aimed at reshaping the future of social media. The initiative, formed in May, includes early technology pioneers and supports open protocols such as Nostr and ActivityPub. Separately, Block is enhancing its Cash App with new features, including group payments that allow users to pool money with friends who do not use the app, as well as integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay for the first time, expanding its peer-to-peer money transfer and banking capabilities.
