Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and CEO of Block, has invested $10 million into a nonprofit collective named "and Other Stuff," which focuses on developing open-source tools and experimental projects aimed at reshaping the future of social media. The collective supports projects built on open protocols such as Nostr and ActivityPub. In addition to this investment, Dorsey has recently launched two new apps within a week: Bitchat, a Bluetooth-based messaging app that enables communication without internet, Wi-Fi, or cellular signal, and Sun Day, an app that tracks users' UV exposure and Vitamin D levels. These apps were developed using an AI tool called Goose, which facilitates rapid app creation.
