Wix Expands PayPal Tie-Up to Add Venmo and Pay Later Options

Website-building platform Wix Ltd. said on 24 July that it has deepened its partnership with PayPal Holdings Inc., enabling merchants that use Wix’s e-commerce tools to accept a broader range of PayPal services, including Venmo and the PayPal Pay Later installment option. The integration is billed as a unified payments experience designed to simplify checkout and broaden consumer choice. Wix said the additional options should help its small- and medium-sized business customers lift conversion rates by accommodating consumers who prefer digital wallets or buy-now-pay-later plans. The move strengthens Wix’s payments offering as it competes with Shopify, Squarespace and other site-commerce providers. For PayPal, the deal extends the reach of its branded services across Wix’s reported millions of merchant sites, advancing its effort to drive transaction volume outside of traditional marketplaces.
