Recent health inspections across multiple counties in Florida and parts of Texas have revealed a mixed landscape of restaurant compliance and violations. In Florida, numerous restaurants achieved perfect scores, including 22 in Palm Beach County, 17 previously reported there, 7 in Gadsden County, 5 in Okaloosa County, 4 in Alachua County, 8 in Lee County along with 5 food trucks and 1 caterer, and smaller numbers in Collier, Marion, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties. Conversely, some establishments faced closures and violations: three Central Florida restaurants shut down recently, with Brevard County reporting over eight closures so far in 2025. South Florida saw four restaurants closed due to rodent droppings and flies, and additional closures involved issues such as roaches and spider colonies. In Texas, health inspections in Dallas and surrounding areas found roaches in eight restaurants, dead mice in one, and multiple closures including in Arlington, Fort Worth, Frisco, and Tarrant counties due to critical health violations. The inspections highlight ongoing challenges with pest control and sanitation in certain regions, despite many establishments maintaining high standards.
