France Travail, the French public employment service, announced on July 23, 2025, that it was the victim of a cyberattack compromising the personal data of approximately 340,000 jobseekers. The breach, detected on July 12, involved unauthorized access to sensitive information including names, dates of birth, France Travail identifiers, email and postal addresses, and phone numbers. This incident marks a new data breach for the agency, raising concerns about the security of personal information of jobseekers. Separately, on July 25, 2025, the telecommunications operator Orange also suffered a cyberattack that disrupted some of its services. As of July 29, certain Orange services remained affected, and investigations were ongoing to determine whether any data had been leaked.
