Rodolphe Saadé, a Franco-Lebanese billionaire, has rapidly expanded his media holdings over the past three years, acquiring outlets such as Brut, BFM TV, La Tribune du Dimanche, La Provence, and Corse Matin, with ambitions to rival Vincent Bolloré’s media empire. Saadé’s CMA Média group has invested approximately €2 billion in this expansion. Xavier Niel finances prominent left-leaning publications including Le Monde, L’Obs, HuffPost, and Le Crayon, and has a history of supporting Emmanuel Macron through favorable coverage. George Soros is noted for funding independent media like StreetPress and various NGOs. The magazine also critiques media conglomerates like BFM TV for alleged editorial biases.
