Justin Rose secured his 12th PGA Tour victory by winning the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis after a dramatic sudden-death playoff against J.J. Spaun. The playoff extended to three holes, with Rose clinching the title with a clutch birdie on the third playoff hole. Rose, 45, came from four shots behind to force the playoff, highlighted by a streak of four consecutive birdies late in the final round to tie the lead. J.J. Spaun also performed strongly, tying Rose at 16-under before the playoff. Tommy Fleetwood, who had been in contention and briefly led during the final round, ultimately fell short once again, continuing his streak of top finishes without a PGA Tour win despite 162 events played, 29 top-five finishes, and six runner-up placements. The event marked Rose’s second FedEx St. Jude Championship win and made him the first player in his 40s to win on the PGA Tour this season.
