Florida cities have also been identified among the top 50 most bedbug-infested U.S. cities. While bedbugs do not pose a serious health threat, they cause severe itching, sleep loss, and potential secondary skin infections due to scratching. Bedbugs are difficult to detect but leave small, itchy bite marks that can cause discomfort and distress. Guidance on identification and treatment is being disseminated in affected areas.
