The Colorado Avalanche have added Dave Hakstol to head coach Jared Bednar’s staff as an assistant coach, the National Hockey League club announced Tuesday. Hakstol, who previously served as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, joins current assistant Nolan Pratt, goaltending coach Jussi Parkkila and assistant/video coach Brett Heimlich behind the Avalanche bench.
